- Amazon Working Conditions – Consumer Report and Action Response. “In June 2011 Amazon was sited for having poor working conditions (excessive heat) in one of their east coast order fulfillment centers. Amazon has since remedied the situation (as explained below) and OSHA has closed their investigation of the matter. Further research revealed that safety at Amazon fulfillment centers is better than that for department store workers, and much better than automotive industry or general warehouse work or other types of employment.”
- Company Legitimacy Ranking System – “The Consumer Defense Resource Group has developed the Company Legitimacy Ranking System as a simple rating system to assess the legitimacy of any unknown Internet-based company. The point system is to rank companies from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest and best ranking. There are 10 questions. Each question is worth 1 point.”
