We’re taking Tiny House Design Online!

So now you can join us from the comfort of your own home!

If you’ve been dreaming and scheming a tiny house of your own, but you haven’t yet managed to come take one of my Tiny House Design classes in Portland, Oregon or Waitsfield, VT, you now have the opportunity to join us virtually through Yestermorrow Design-Build School!

This version of Tiny House Design is will take place June 1 – June 29 on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 4-6 PDT/5-7 MDT/6-8 CDT/7-9 EDT.

Here’s the course description:

Tiny House Design will help you envision and design an enriching small home on a foundation or on wheels. We’ll virtually tour noteworthy houses, spark a dialogue about space-saving strategies, and engage in an imaginative process with lots of interactive design exercises. In the design studio, you’ll learn a variety of tools to help you communicate your ideas. Students leaving this course will take home the skills necessary to continue work on their own small home projects. Bring your curiosity, enthusiasm, and project ideas!

I’m delighted to be teaching again with Erin Maile O’Keefe who was a student in this course a few years ago. She then became a client of mine as I worked with her for a build blitz to start her gorgeous Paper Boat tiny house. Along the way we became friends and now we get to co-teach a class we both took as students!

Looking through photos from past classes it’s so fun to see familiar faces. And to be impressed by how many of these students have indeed created small spaces of their own in the years that have passed since they took the course.

Claim your spot today! Let’s make the most of these strange times by getting your tiny house designed!

But don’t take my word for it!

Here’s what the participants of our past Tiny House Design course had to say:

“Erin has an eye for detail and a great imagination allowing one to explore different possibilities in design. She is very supportive and understanding of others wants and needs and it was a pleasure having her as a teacher.”
– Feb 2020 Tiny House Design Participant

“Lina is very intuitive about presenting information for ease of understanding. A warm heart and soul to be around made learning from her a very enjoyable experience”
– Feb 2020 Tiny House Design Participant

“The strongest part of this course was… Having the ability to ask burning questions and being asked the question I overlooked in my design. This allowed me to walk away with a strong sense of understanding the next step in my building.”
– Feb 2020 Tiny House Design Participant
