Uses

This drive enclosure is very helpful if you have a laptop/notebook computer hard drive that fails to startup into Windows (or Apple OS). Often what is perceived to be a hard drive crash is really just an operating system failure. Once the drive is removed, and then connected to a working computer, the data can usually be read.

Review

We’ve used this drive enclosure and been quite pleased with it. The basic design is not as rugged as higher priced enclosures, but it serves the purpose well. This enclosure may not be well suited for extended continual use because it does not have a cooling fan or sufficient space for airflow. The potential for overheating may depend on the brand and model of hard drive.

Accessories

In addition to the case, cable, and sleeve, there is a small screwdriver and tiny screws to assemble the enclosure (as shown below).
