- 20080822fr1936. First Impressions. I first started using the Apple Wireless Keyboard after 5 August 2008. It’s really nice not having a wire to deal with. The keyboard offers a full-size keyboard layout. Yet, it is much smaller than a typical desktop keyboard. The layout is similar to that of a notebook keyboard. Because of the shallow key travel, speed typing is enhanced. Light key travel tension results in less fatigue.
