FBI Issues National Security Alert for Jan 2021 Following Capitol Attack

Earlier today it was reported that an FBI bulletin is warning that radicalized Trump supporters and other militant allies are planning multiple armed protests across the United States.

“Armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols from 16 January through at least 20 January, and at the U.S. Capitol from 17 January through 20 January.”

According to a PBS report, one militant stated:

“Many of us will return [to D.C.] on January 19, 2021 carrying Our weapons. We will come in numbers that no standing army or police agency can match.”

FBI Warns of Possible Nationwide Armed Protests Ahead of Biden Inauguration. “The memo warns demonstrations may start later this week and continue through the inauguration, the official said, as federal agencies brace for the possibility of more violence following Wednesday’s deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol. Members of Several Well-Known Hate Groups Identified at Capitol Riot. “So far, police have arrested more than 80 people in connection with the [Capitol] attack, including at least one Proud Boy, Nick Ochs. They have seized pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails and arrested at least six people on illegal firearms charges, including one Maryland man who was captured in the visitors’ center of the Capitol.
