Microsoft and Apple Use Similar Colorful Powder Burst Visual in Product Launch Two Days Apart

In what seemed to be too coincidental to have not been planned, Microsoft and Apple made major flagship product announcements just 24 hours apart, and the equally dramatic presentation videos began with a very similar image of a colored powder burst reminiscent of the popular ColorFest events which are similar to the festival of Holi in India. You can see this in the videos below from Microsoft and Apple, released on October 26 and 27 respectively. These new products are similarly priced when fully equipped. The Microsoft Surface Studio is $4,200 (with Intel Core i7, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 4GB processor) and the Apple MacBook Pro is $4,300 (with 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz, 2TB SSD, and 4GB video memory).

Is this an awkward situation similar to two people arriving at a party wearing the same clothes? Or, was it a planned effort to show the cooperation and collaboration between the two tech giants? In the Apple announcement, it was explained that Microsoft is developing a version of their Office 365 product suite that will take advantage of the the new touch bar technology on the MacBook Pro.
